You Can Count on Frankie

Frankincense essential oil for everyday

Also known as the "King of Oils", Frankincense has many benefits. It's been used for centuries in Africa and the Middle East for its ceremonial, medicinal and beautifying properties. It's been said that it was one of the gifts of the three wise men because of its high value along with gold and myrrh.

Many people find it valuable in daily skin care, diffuser blends and as a supplement to help support emotional and physical health. It's an oil I use routinely everyday. Sadly, because of its well known benefits, companies will try to sell you diluted or synthetic extracts and still legally be able to label it as "100% pure". Be informed so you can be confident in the safety and purity of the oils you use (inhale, apply or ingest!).

One of the most heart-breaking aspects of the frankincense industry is the intense pressure it places on these ancient trees (many can be over 100 years old!). Frankincense trees are being over-harvested and in some areas are struggling through terrible drought conditions.

When selecting your frankincense, look for a company that will stand behind a sustainable, socially responsible harvesting and distillation process that supports small-scale operations and humanitarian partnerships to improve their quality of life. Is the oil free of contaminants, synthetics and impurities? Third-party tested for every batch? Find out because it matters.
Do you know about the benefits of Frankincense?

I love how easily you can customize a diffuser blend to what you like or the effects you want. Give one a try and let me know how it goes! I love hearing how people make these oils their own.
